Our Team
Shauna and Kimberly have been working together since 2017 in different physical therapy environments. They both developed a passion for Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy after each having their children and realizing there was a gap in care for postpartum women. When they begin investigating a path to PFPT, they gained more knowledge on other conditions that are not being well managed due to lack of PFPT providers. They are passionate about helping all individuals with pelvic floor conditions to live a healthy and active lifestyle!
Shauna Epperson
Shauna began working in physical therapy clinics in 2010 as a technician. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Dance Studies from Arizona State University in 2012. In 2014 she attended Regis University and graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017. She began working in outpatient orthopedic clinics immediately upon graduation. Within 3 years she was burnt out, seeing over 20 patients per day and thinking how there must be a better way to treat effectively. After having her second child, she decided to open her own mobile orthopedic clinic (Epperson Physical Therapy) in 2021. Seeing the need for PFPT providers, she decided to pursue further education on this specialty. In 2023 she opened Embrace Pelvic Rehab. Embrace is built on her strong orthopedic background, passion to help patients achieve better results in a shorter period of time, and her desire for flexibility with her family.
Kimberly King
Kimberly attended Arizona State University where she developed a passion for physical therapy. She worked as a technician through her time at ASU and her pursuit for further education in physical therapy. She graduated as a Physical Therapist Assistant and began working in outpatient orthopedic clinics. She has personal experience as a patient for PFPT and recognized that there is a lack of support for pelvic floor conditions. Her passion is to provide individualized care and education so that patients can reach not only their short term goals, but also to have the tools to reach their long term goals.
